Marriage is one of life's greatest adventures, so why not start it out with one?

Imagine spending your wedding day doing the things that you and your person love most - Maybe that's hiking to the peak of a mountain for a private vow reading as the sun comes up, maybe it's paddle boarding across a river to have an island all to yourself, or maybe it's a day of celebrating with your closest friends and family at an epic AirBnB - the possibilities are literally endless when you choose to prioritize yourselves and make your wedding day YOUR WEDDING DAY. One of my main goals as an adventure wedding and elopement photographer is to make sure you not only end up with images that you love, but also memories that last a lifetime. Hi I'm Sarah!

A Wedding and Elopement Photographer in Chattanooga, Tennessee

I'm a lover of Jesus and everything outdoors. If you're looking for more than just a photographer - If you are looking for someone who will get excited with you, who will laugh with you, cry with you and truly cares about capturing real authentic moments - I just might be your girl. My goal is to not just be your photographer, but your best friend and #1 advocate - To help you craft a wedding day that is 100% about you and the person you love. What it's like to work with me

If I had to list two things that I love in this world (other than Jesus) it would be people, making them laugh and feel good about themselves. Ok so maybe that's technically three things but whatever - just know that if you decide to book me as your photographer, you can expect me to always be trying to make you laugh and feel your absolute best.

Something else that's important to know? I'm not into that fake posed stuff. I want to capture you as you are - because even though I may not have met you yet, I already know you're amazing and shouldn't have to pretend to be anything but yourself. Now this doesn't mean I won't help guide you if you need it (I know how weird it can feel to be in front of a camera), it just means I'm not going to be giving you specific directions the entire time. Your wedding day isn't an all day photo shoot, it's an experience that you should enjoy to the fullest and I'll just be a little fly on the wall documenting that experience so you can look back on it for the rest of your lives.

My #1 goal as your photographer is to make sure you not only end up with images that you love, but that you also leave with memories that will last a lifetime. I want you to look back on your images and think about what a fun time you had. I like to think I do a pretty good job at that, but don't just take my word for it, read what some of my past clients have said about their experiences below.

Why I specialize in small weddings and elopements

First of all, it's important to remember that eloping no longer means "running off and getting married in secret", these days, eloping is about having a smaller, more intentional wedding day that is a true reflection of the love you and your person share.

While there is absolutely nothing wrong with a 50+ person wedding, I personally believe your wedding day should be just that. YOUR day, which is the main reason I chose to focus my business on small weddings and elopements in Tennessee and the surrounding areas. It's harder to have a day that's all about you and the person you love when there are hundreds of other people involved. Eloping or having a smaller wedding with just a few friends and/or family allows you to slow down and enjoy what should be one of the most memorable days of your life. It allows you to prioritize you and the love you share with your person. However, this doesn't mean compromising on the amount of celebrating. You can (and should) still spend a whole day celebrating your special day - just without all the stress and drama often associated with larger traditional weddings. That could look like a small ceremony in your back yard with your friends/family or it could be a full-day adventure elopement through your favorite forest with just you and your person. Heck, maybe you want to get married in a Taco Bell parking lot. Whatever the perfect wedding day looks like for you, know that I am here to 100% support you and help make it happen.

In addition to photography, I also help with planning your perfect elopement day.

Planning a wedding or elopement can be an overwhelming process, but I'm a big believer that your wedding day should be one of the happiest days of your life, not one of the most stressful. So if you know you want to have a wedding day that is 100% reflective of the love you and your person share but aren't quite sure how to go about doing it or get overwhelmed thinking about all the things that have to be done, I can help with that. All of my elopement photography packages include location scouting, vendor recommendations, help with permits and your own customized timeline for a full day of fun and creating memories - with as little stress as possible.

If you are leaning towards going against the grain and having a small wedding or elopement in Chattanooga, Tennessee (or anywhere in the world) I'd love to talk to you about planning and photographing your perfect elopement day. Still need more convincing? I wrote a full blog post about the benefits of having a smaller wedding.
